Blossom Lamp

My design vision is to create products that are practical and beautiful. Blossom Lamp is versatile lamp with shelves to hold books or a cup of tea. In following with my vision, I sought to create a lamp that would have a strong aesthetic presence, hoping it would be a center piece in creating a relaxing environment.

This project allowed me to explore my own design sense and my preference of organic shapes that could be used in harmony with typically angular modern interior decor. This was also an exercise in manufacturing. I rolled the tubing and petals, milled and turned the parts, welded together the components, and hand-stitched the shades. The result was Blossom.
